Gonda Beach in Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi Province

When spending a vacation in the capital of West Sulawesi Province (Mamuju City), tourists should not forget to explore all available beaches including the one called Gonda. It is located in Laliko Village and belongs to Campalagian Sub-District, actually. What tourists need to do is to head to Polewali Mandar Regency. One thing that makes it different than other nearby beaches is the presence of a mangrove forest! That means tourists can explore such wonderful landscape as well as enjoy the great nuance of the shore during the visit!

The Nuance
In terms of nuance, Gonda Beach is considered peaceful due to the pristine environment. Not to mention the number of visitors is low, so tourists won’t find many people during the visit. As mentioned before, the prime attraction is the mangrove forest that comes with the length of about 1.46 km. The fact is some households also live near to the beach (which is about 35 of them). What is next? The beach comes with beautiful seawater and it is suitable for numerous fun activities like fishing, swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, and witnessing the sunset in the afternoon.

Exploring Gonda Beach
When talking about Gonda Beach, some tourists may recall about the stunning sea scenery. It is because the beach has the most astonishing sunset in the afternoon. Plus, the location is near to other beautiful beaches especially Palippis and Labuang. That means tourists can enjoy such triple treats on the same day without spending too much time on the trip. Not to mention the beach resides in front of Campalagian Forest Police Post, so all tourists can easily find the location.

Aside from the romantic sunset and strategic location, Gonda Beach is also known for its formation of mangroves! Not only those plants protect the land from sea abrasion, but they also make the beach more beautiful! That means visitors can take advantage of such landscape to collect some good photos during the visit. In fact, they have the chance to explore the mangroves by Lepa-Lepa (a small gondola). It is recommended to hire a local guide who knows more information regarding those plants and the route, though.

Another allure in Gonda Beach is the presence of tropical fishes and other cute sea creatures in the sea. In order to witness them, though, tourists need to go either snorkeling or diving. Thus, they must have prepared the equipment and diving gear beforehand. Have no worries. They can find a place to rent those items there! As an alternative, swimming at the shore is also a good idea!
